Anzen Finance had expanded into a powerful DeFi platform, but the experience had not evolved with it.
Disconnected features and unclear transaction states left users unsure where to go, what to do, and what happened next.

Bring the product into one coherent experience, making key actions easier to navigate and transaction outcomes clearer, while creating a foundation that could scale with future features.

Discovery
Understanding the product from end to end
I began by walking through and documenting every critical flow, from swaps, staking, and bridging to vaults, ANZ locking, the USDz OTC market, dashboards, and collateral details. This revealed how users moved between features and where the experience became disconnected.
I then mapped the existing information architecture and compared it with established DeFi platforms. The comparison exposed a gap between Anzen’s navigation and the patterns users already expected, creating a clear direction for restructuring the product.

The navigation reflected internal protocol mechanics rather than user goals. Limited guidance and unclear feedback after wallet confirmation left users unsure what to do next or whether transactions were complete.

I reorganized navigation around user intent, introduced contextual next steps, and made transaction history and states more visible. Wireframes and internal usability testing showed that users could find key features faster and move through tasks with less uncertainty.

Helping users find the next meaningful action
After completing a primary action, users often reached a dead end. For example, locking ANZ unlocked governance participation, but the product never surfaced that opportunity, leaving users unaware of what they could do next.
I introduced contextual prompts at key moments to connect completed actions with relevant next steps, helping users move naturally through the product with less hesitation.

After signing in their wallet, users received little feedback and were unsure what to do next. I added inline messages and visual cues to clearly communicate pending, completed, and failed states.

From fragmented features to one connected DeFi experience
I reorganized Anzen’s core flows around user goals, removing approximately 35% of redundant steps and making transactions easier to follow. A unified component library brought consistency across the product and created a scalable foundation for future features.
